Detroit Ave was founded by entrepreneur and author Kristen Schmitt-Dykes. A former business owner turned certified business consultant, coach, mentor, and facilitator, Kristen created Detroit Ave to serve startups, nonprofits, and anyone curious about what it takes to launch a business, large or small.
With more than 20 years of experience in high-level business operations, Kristen brings firsthand knowledge of both running and selling successful companies. As a nonprofit founder and small business advocate, she now focuses on helping others navigate the challenges of starting and growing their ventures.
To provide well-rounded support, Kristen partners with a network of trusted professionals, including accountants and bookkeepers, attorneys, and HR specialists, ensuring clients have access to the expertise needed for long-term success and growth.
In addition to consulting, Kristen has a background in corporate sales and marketing. She is also a published author under her own imprint, Little Blue Ink, and is available for both virtual and in-person speaking engagements.
Originally from Metro Detroit, Michigan where the name Detroit Ave was inspired, Kristen now resides in Northwest Arkansas.
